Renowned actor Zahid Hasan has been hospitalised in Dhaka after being diagnosed with pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital on Friday, the day before Eid-ul-Azha.

Speaking to Prothom Alo on Monday night, Zahid Hasan confirmed that his condition has improved compared to earlier, though he will need to remain under medical care for several more days.

"I had been suffering from a high fever for two days before Eid," said Zahid Hasan. "Eventually, I had to be hospitalised. I was tested for both dengue and COVID-19, but thankfully, the results came back negative."

Despite his health concerns, Zahid Hasan appeared in the film "Utshob", which was released during Eid-ul-Azha. The film is directed by Tanim Noor.

Recently, the acclaimed actor was also seen in several other projects, including Raihan Rafi's "Amalnama".
