The Bangladesh Chhatra League on Wednesday morning announced Dhaka University’s 18 hall units’ partial committees after two days of council sessions held after about five years.
On Wednesday morning, the BCL shared the list of new committees approved by its central committee president Al Nahean Khan Joy, general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee, and university unit president Sanjit Chandra Das and general secretary Saddam Hussein on their respective Facebook posts.
The committees were formed for one year.
Sajibur Rahman Sajib and Abu Yunus were selected president and general secretary for Bijoy Ekattar Hall unit.
Mariam Zaman Khan Sohan and Siam Rahman were selected president and general secretary respectively for Master da Surya Sen Hall unit.
Shahidul Haque Shishir and Muhammad Hossain were selected president and general secretary for Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall unit.
Kamal Uddin Rana and Rubel Hossain were selected president and general secretary for Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall unit.
Mehedi Hasan Shanto and Mahbubur Rahman were selected president and general secretary for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall unit.
Reazul Islam and Munayem Shahriar Moon were selected president and general secretary respectively for Sir AF Rahman Hall unit.
Azharul Islam Mamun and Hasibul Islam Shanto were selected president and general secretary respectively for Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall unit.
Sumon Khalifa and Lutfur Rahman were selected president and general secretary respectively for Pallikabi Jasimuddin Hall unit while Tanvir Sikder and Mishat Sarkar were selected president and general secretary respectively for Salimullah Muslim Hall unit.
Kajal Das and Atanu Barman were selected president and general secretary respectively for Jagannath Hall unit while Anwar Hossain Naeem and Abu Hasib Mukta were selected president and general secretary for Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall.
Zahidul Islam and Sharif Ahmed Munim were selected president and general secretary respectively for Shahidullah Hall unit while Enayet H Manon and Imdadul Hasan Sohag were selected president and general secretary for Amar Ekushey Hall unit.
Atika Binte Hossain and Antora Das were made president and general secretary of Ruqayyah Hall unit.
For Shamsunnahar Hall, Khadija Akhtar Urmi and Nusrat Rubaiyat Neela were selected as president and general secretary while Kohinoor Akter Rakhi and Sanjida Yasmin were selected president and general secretary for Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall unit.
Razia Sultana Kotha and Jannatul Hawa Akhi were selected president and general secretary for Bangladesh Kuwait-Maitri Hall unit while Pooja Karmakar and Rima Akhter Dolly were selected president and general secretary for Begum Sufia Kamal Hall unit.
The last DU hall Council was held on November 26 in 2016 and the hall committees were formed in December 2016. The one-year term of the committees ended in December 2017.
