অতঃপর খাও, পান কর আর (তোমার) চোখ জুড়াও। যদি তুমি কোন লোককে দেখতে পাও তাহলে বলবে- আমি রহমান আল্লাহর জন্য সাওম পালনের মানৎ করেছি, কাজেই আমি কোন মানুষের সঙ্গে আজ কিছুতেই কথা বলব না।’
অতঃপর সে তার সন্তানকে বয়ে নিয়ে তার সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে আসল। তারা বলল, ‘হে মারইয়াম! তুমি তো এক অদ্ভুত জিনিস নিয়ে এসেছ!
ওহে হারূনের বোন! তোমার পিতা তো খারাপ লোক ছিল না, আর তোমার মাও ছিল না কোন অসতী নারী।’
তখন মারইয়াম তার ছেলের দিকে ইশারা করল। তারা বলল, ‘আমরা কোলের বাচ্চার সঙ্গে কীভাবে কথা বলব?’
শিশুটি বলে উঠল, ‘আমি আল্লাহর বান্দাহ, তিনি আমাকে কিতাব দিয়েছেন, আর আমাকে নবী করেছেন।
আমি যেখানেই থাকি না কেন তিনি আমাকে বরকতময় করেছেন আর আমাকে নামায ও যাকাতের হুকুম দিয়েছেন- যতদিন আমি জীবিত থাকি।
আর (তিনি আমাকে করেছেন) আমার মাতার প্রতি সদয়, তিনি আমাকে দাম্ভিক হতভাগ্য করেননি।
আমার উপর আছে শান্তি যেদিন আমি জন্মেছি, যেদিন আমার মৃত্যু হবে আর আমি যেদিন জীবিত হয়ে উত্থিত হব।’
এই হচ্ছে মারইয়াম-পুত্র ঈসা, (এটাই) সত্য কথা যে বিষয়ে লোকেরা সন্দেহ পোষণ করে।
সন্তান গ্রহণ করা আল্লাহর কাজ নয়, তিনি পবিত্র, মহান; যখন তিনি কিছু করার সিদ্ধান্ত করেন তখন তার জন্য শুধু বলেন, ‘হয়ে যাও’, আর তা হয়ে যায়।

So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' "
Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.
O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."
So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?"
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive
And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.
And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."
That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute.
It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.
