Immigration officials detained actress Nusraat Faria Mazhar from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday afternoon while she attempted to go to Thailand.

Vatara police station officer-in-charge Mazharul Islam said that she was detained by immigration officials at about 2:30pm on Sunday.

‘She is accused in an attempt to murder case filed with Vatara police station,’ he said, adding that she was being taken to Dhaka Metropolitan Police detective branch office at Mintoo Road in the city.

DMP DB joint commissioner for south and admin Mohammad Nasirul Islam said that she was on the way to DB office.

Quoting immigration officials, he said that Nusrat was going to Thailand by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
