The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) today demanded an "investment-friendly atmosphere" to restore business confidence, citing concerns among entrepreneurs due to an unstable law and order situation.

"Although eight months have passed since the formation of the interim government, businesses are still operating under fear. The expected improvement in law and order has not materialised," said DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed.

The DCCI president made these remarks at a views exchange meeting on the law and order situation and ease of doing business at its office.

Ahmed emphasised that a predictable and secure environment is essential for sustained investment and long-term economic growth.

He called for coordinated efforts among the government, law enforcement agencies, and the private sector to ensure a safe and business-friendly environment.

"Only through trust and cooperation can we build an investor-friendly Bangladesh," he added.
