One dies of dengue fever, another 87 hospitalised in 24 hours

One dengue patient died while 87 more were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till 8am today.

With the new death case in Cox's Bazar, the number of deaths rose to 15, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the deaths, five were reported from Dhaka while nine from Cox's Bazar.

With the 87 new cases the total number of dengue patients rose to 3,184. Of them, 387 are still undergoing treatment of which 72 are from outside of Dhaka.

A total of 2,782 patients have been released from hospitals, 507 from outside the capital.
