The Asian Ceramics Technology 50 Forum – Dhaka officially commenced on Saturday, focusing on quality, efficiency, and cross-border collaboration.

The forum kicked off at a city hotel, jointly organised by the Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA) and Foshan Uniceramics Expo.

With the theme “Product Quality & Production Efficiency Enhancement and Investment opportunities in Bangladesh– Win-Win Cooperation,” the forum brought together ceramics industry leaders, technical experts, and stakeholders from Bangladesh and China to foster innovation and enhance international cooperation in the ceramics sector.

Delivering the welcome address, Irfan Uddin, general secretary of BCMEA, expressed appreciation for the strong presence of international delegates.

He said, “Together, let us explore new ideas, connect industries, and work toward a more vibrant future for ceramics in Asia.” He emphasized that events like this forum help strengthen ties between the two nations and drive sectoral growth.

Irfan particularly recognized the contributions of the Chinese delegation, stating, “China’s technological advancements and global leadership in ceramics have long inspired us. Their participation here today reflects a mutual commitment to knowledge-sharing, sustainable growth, and regional cooperation.”

The chief guest, Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA, acting president of BCMEA, echoed similar sentiments in his keynote address.

He remarked, “Their presence on Saturday reflects the strong bond between our industries and opens up new doors for joint ventures, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange.”

He also noted, “Forums like this serve as a powerful platform for dialogue, innovation, and mutual growth”.

In his speech, acting BCMEA president also mentioned about the investment opportunities in Bangladesh. The government has allowed huge incentive for the investors under the changed socio-economic scenarios in Bangladesh, he added.

The day-long event featured three technical sessions focusing on key areas: enhancing product quality and production efficiency, cost reduction, performance optimization, and investment opportunities in Bangladesh. Experts from both countries presented cutting-edge solutions and shared experiences in ceramic production, equipment, and management.

Key figures such as Li Xinliang, President of Ceramic Town Weekly and General Manager of Foshan Uniceramics Development Co. Ltd., and Luo Fei, Equipment Technology Expert, represented China’s advanced ceramic expertise.
