Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan was among 17 players retained by IPL T20 franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, ahead of the 12th edition of the tournament.

Other notable retainees by Sunrisers include Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and Australia’s Dave Warner.

The 12th edition is scheduled to be held next year from March-April. The players’ auction is slated for December 18 this year in Jaipur.
