Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted top Bangladeshi archer Mohammad Ruman Shana with sweets Tuesday evening at Ganabhaban for his gold medal feat in the recurve men’s singles event at the Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament Stage 3.

The Bangladesh Premier also assured Shana and the sport of archery all kinds of assistance in future.

Ruman said, "One of my dreams has been fulfilled after meeting the Prime Minister. She encouraged me, assured me to provide all the supports and also financial assistance for the treatment of my mother, who has been suffering several diseases including heart and diabetes. It really inspired me a lot to do better in future."

State Minister for Youth and Sports Jahid Ahsan Russel was present during the occasion.
