The Chorki Original series "Dui Shaw" introduces a new spine-chilling horror experience, directed by Nuhash Humayun. The four-episode series is set to premiere its first episode, "Waqt," on the OTT platform Chorki at 12 am on December 18. The trailer for the series was launched on the afternoon of December 12.
Chorki's verified Facebook page officially announced the release date, through a post. Since the announcement, fans have flooded the comments section with excitement, stating, "We are waiting." The remaining episodes will follow, with their release dates revealed on Chorki's social media platforms.
The other episodes of the series are titled "Bhaggo Bhalo," "Antora," and "Besura." Each story offers a unique interpretation.
Nuhash explains that "Bhaggo Bhalo" revolves around a viral astrologer, while "Antora" explores a supernatural marital life. "Besura" narrates the story of an artiste born without a sense of rhythm or melody.
Meanwhile, "Waqt" follows a story of five friends facing five different outcomes at five distinct points in time. The episode titles were a collaborative effort between the creator and the audience. Names suggested through a campaign on Chorki's Facebook page were merged with the creator's vision to finalise these titles.
In the first season, "Pett Kata Shaw," the director brought to life ghost stories from various parts of the country. Released on Chorki in 2022, the series gained significant popularity. News of the second season's release has once again excited fans and viewers, many of whom were eagerly asking for the release date. The wait is finally over, with many viewers also applauding the ingenuity of the episode titles.
The trailer of the series showcases an ingteresting line that says, "Do you know the difference between Iblis and humans? One has a talibya shaw, and the other has a pett kata shaw (a split shaw)." This mysterious line from the trailer has sparked a wave of curiosity and questions.
While refraining from revealing the answers just yet, Nuhash Humayun stated, "In the second season's stories, I've focused more on psychological aspects rather than supernatural elements or appearances. I've also tried to depict the horrors of the country and recent times as forms of fear."
According to Nuhash, social fears have become more significant in the country than the fear of ghosts. He mentioned that each episode of "Dui Shaw" attempts to explore the darker sides of the human psyche.
In the episode "Waqt" of "Dui Shaw," the characters of five friends are brought to life by Allen Shubhro, Rizvi Rizu, Refat Hasan Saikat, Abdullah Al Sentu, and Rafayatullah Sohan, among others.
The episode titled "Bhaggo Bhalo" features performances by Mosharraf Karim, Zebunnisa Sobhan (Tuntuni), Adnan Adib Khan, Samia Othoi, and others.
Meanwhile, Kazi Nowshaba Ahmed, Afzal Hossain, and Shilpi Sarker Apu take on roles in the episode "Antora."
Finally, "Besura" showcases the talents of Erfan Mridha Shiblu, Islam Uddin Palakar, and others.
