Dhaka metropolitan senior special judge court on Monday issued a travel ban on Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and its managing director Sayem Sobhan Anvir and six other family members in connection with corruption allegations.
Dhaka metropolitan senior special judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain passed the order after the ACC deputy director Nazmul Islam submitted a petition seeking the travel ban.
The ACC public prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir confirmed the matter.
The others are Bashundhara group co-chairman Sadat Sobhan, his wife Sonia Ferdowshi Sobhan, Sayem Sobhan’s wife Sabrina Sobhan, vice-chairman Safiat Sobhan Sanvir and another vice-chairman Safwan Sobhan.
