A new folk-based song titled “Obishasher Jontrona” by singer Suchona Shely has been released under the G Series label, blending themes of heartbreak and emotional struggle.
The song’s lyrics and composition are by Shahazadi, with music arrangement by Jimmy Shah. Pial handled mixing and mastering, while the music video was directed by Rahat Noli with cinematography by Kabir Mahmud.

Speaking about the release, Shely said folk music remains central to her artistic identity. “Folk music is deeply connected to my soul. I want listeners to find stories of life, love and pain in my songs,” she said.
She added that “Obishasher Jontrona” is one of her most emotionally charged works, shaped by a dedicated team effort.

Known for her folk repertoire and wider recognition through Coke Studio Bangla, Shely has been steadily building her presence in playback and contemporary music. Her recent tracks include “Valllage Na Kene”, “Boidyaraj” and “Rup Sagore”.
