Bangladesh Technical Education Board on Friday postponed examinations of three courses under the ongoing board completion examination of 2019 as floodwater inundated most of the venues of practical tests.

The course are – Diploma in Agriculture (2nd, 4th, 6th part regular/irregular and 5th and 7th part irregular), Diploma in Fisheries (2nd, 4th, 6th part regular and 5th and 7th part irregular) and Diploma in Livestock (2nd, 4th, 6th part regular/irregular and 5th part irregular), said a press release issued by the board.

Examinations of these courses were scheduled to be held between July 21 and July 25.

The controller of examination of the board Sushil Kumar Paul told New Age that these three courses require practical tests while most of the venues went under water due to ongoing flood.

He said that for this reason they deferred the examinations. Other ongoing examinations including Diploma in Engineering and Diploma in Textile courses would continue, he added.

The press release said that next date for the examinations would be announced later.

The board completion examination of 2019 started on June 25, said officials.
