Police picked up BNP Joint Secretary General Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel from Gulshan-2 area of Dhaka this evening.

Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told The Daily Star that Sohel was detained on “specific allegations”. The police official, however, did not tell the reason behind the detention. 

Sohel, also president of Dhaka north unit of BNP, was detained from Gulshan-2 intersection around 7:30 pm, said Shamsuddin Dider, a staff of Khaleda's press wing.
